What to expect when starting occupational therapy

A step by step approach, focused on understanding

Step 1: Intake Appointment

Your first session is usually a 90- minute intake appointment. We listen to your concerns and get to know you or your child to understand your strengths and what is hard right now.

Step 2: Assessment

If appropriate, your occupational therapist will conduct assessments with you and/or your child to develop measurable goals that are meaningful to you.

Step 3: Sessions

We will schedule your appointments at a time and place that works for you. This can be in person at your home, in the community or via telehealth, and soon at our hub opening in 2026.
